As you know District 7 cancelled Spring League and refunded all fees. It was an unfortunate decision to make but with no knowledge of how much longer we would be locked down it was one that needed to be made. That is in the past, so now let us look to the future: We will play again and probably soon.
Right now, is the time to plan for Fall: to start registering your players (in a safe way, following the latest guidelines); to plan uniforms and other actions we take prior to the start of a new season.
Thinking of uniforms, have you thought of just using T-Shirts (which could keep the pricing low) or checking with your uniform vendors, such as Score, to see when their latest deadline is to order.
Look at your budgets and think, if many of our families are in situations of minimal funds, how can WE get the players back on the fields for the lowest cost.
There will be challenges, but we as a group can share ideas and get our kids back to playing and having fun.
Now is the time to get your referees and coaches trained, there are online options available where the field sessions can be completed once the lock down is eased. It will be eased. Many parts of the world are slowly getting back to work and play.
Best practices, in line with latest guidelines, will have to be observed but many of those will be no different to our annual battles with Flu and Colds.
