For 18 years, John Hodgson has served District 7 with dedication, steadiness, and a genuine love for the game. Volunteer roles rarely come with applause, but John earned every bit of appreciation we can offer — not through titles, but through consistency, integrity, and a willingness to show up for our players, families, and leagues year after year.
A Leader Through Change
John’s leadership carried D7 through enormous changes in youth soccer. The sport grew, the industry shifted, and expectations evolved, yet John remained a constant source of support and stability.
His commitment to community soccer, especially at the youngest ages, never wavered. He reminded us that the heart of the game lives in U6–U10, where kids simply want to play, laugh, learn, and fall in love with soccer.
A Message Worth Carrying Forward
His message to all of us — to stay relevant, to reflect honestly, to rebuild together, and to put kids first — is a challenge worth accepting. And it’s a fitting final note from someone who spent nearly two decades doing exactly that.
With Gratitude
John, thank you for your service, your passion, and your belief in what youth soccer can be when adults get it right. District 7 is better because of you.
