In Case You Missed It…

The Central Valley soccer community was treated to its 1st Annual ‘Free’ Learning Soccer Skills Event for all ages; sponsored by DICK’S Sporting Goods-Riverpark in Fresno, CA on Saturday, August 24, 2019. If you did not make it, here is what you missed!

This free street soccer day included a free skill workshop put on by Soccer in Slow Motion’s team of professional players; followed by open play activities and more sharing of skills. Also at the event providing soccer tips to parents and coaches was Mr. Karl Dewazien (aka Koach Karl) himself representing District-7 Recreation and FUNdamental SOCCER. Parents/Coaches were given advice about what their players need to do in order to improve skills that are vital in fulfilling the demands of today’s game.

Players got the chance to see a street soccer exhibition by SISM. Half the crowd is still trying to figure out where that ball went!

(Watch the video to see Louie Mata’s Vanishing Ball!)

There were food trucks serving delicious food all day such as 559 Street Tacos, Dutch Bros., Quesadilla Gorilla, and more! Fresno FC’s mascot made a special appearance as well as the Fresno State Women’s soccer team.

We even made ‘the’ NEWS:
