Great News

The World Cup is over, the transfer window is nearly over, and teams will be settling down for seasonal play.

D-7 is no different, it’s 2023, and Spring Play will be happening in our State, Districts, and Leagues. We will need officials for those games and time to arrange for you Game Day Facilitator (GDF) or US Soccer Courses. This year we hope to enhance further the GDF course with sanctioning from US Youth Soccer and US Soccer.

As you get your League Board of Directors set for the New Year, it’s time to review what you need, from tax filing to field paint.

Oh, and volunteers!!!   Make sure you invite people to help. People often want to be asked, which some of us do well, and others hold back.

Soccer in the US will soon be the world’s focus, especially in California.

YES! The WORLD CUP will be here in a few short years.

The last time the World Cup was in California, the USA lost to Brazil 0-1 at Stanford Stadium. I was lucky to be 1 of the 100,000 fans at that Quarter Final Match.

We have made it to the quarter-finals 8 times. Can we do better? We will have to wait and see.

Did you know? A warm-up game was played at Bulldog Stadium – El Salvador vs. Sweden, so we have lots to look forward to in our Soccer Community.

Happy FUN Soccer
