For All D-7 Players, Coaches, Referees and Fans!

Last week, while attending a meeting, I was reminded that soccer in District-7 embraces individuals of All Abilities.

Let’s start with the players. District-7 provides opportunities for players at All Skill Levels and allows all of them to be challenged and grow a genuine Love for the Game.

Next, we should focus on the games. By offering various levels of play, D-7 ensures that each game becomes an exciting challenge. Close and hard-fought games are not only enjoyable for fans but also encourage players to put in extra effort to score that crucial extra goal and outperform their opponents.

One of the keys to achieving balanced scheduling and fostering more competitive games is by increasing the number of teams. As avid soccer fans, it becomes our responsibility to reach out to as many potential players as possible and encourage them to register and play.

Here in D-7, we offer a wide range of play options. However, to ensure the success of our efforts, effective communication and sharing of information are essential.

Recently, a group of enthusiasts came together to discuss how we can support players aspiring to play at a higher level. The discussion generated numerous ideas and talking points, all centered around the players’ development and improvement.

This spirit of collaboration is being replicated throughout the state. While the popularity of the World Cup on TV is undeniable, we can’t overlook the D-7s’ soccer scene’s potential impact. For instance, even though Wrexham played in San Diego, many people only knew about them through the TV show. Our goal should be to elevate the visibility of local talent like Chris Mullin, emphasizing that great players can emerge from our own communities.

By coming together with players, coaches, and communities throughout the state, we have the power to create a vibrant soccer environment that nurtures talent and fosters healthy competition. Let’s unite our efforts to elevate soccer to new heights of success in our region!

We encourage everyone to spread the word about this amazing game and inspire kids to come out and play.
