FLOURISHING District-7

We’re excited to share that soccer is on the rise in District 7, and we want to invite our local communities to participate. Over the next few years, we’ll work hard to grow our District.

USA, Mexico, and Canada will soon be hosting the World Cup. Yes, 30-plus teams of the best players in the World will soon be coming to the Americas. What does that mean for us?  Teams will play friendliest to get used to the climate, at the last World Cup in the USA, where team USA eventually lost in the quarter-finals. Fresno State hosted a warm-up game. If I remember, it was Sweden and El Salvador.

While it’s exciting to know that USA, Mexico, and Canada will soon host the World Cup, our focus is on the growth of soccer in D-7 by creating more opportunities for players to develop their skills and connect with others who share their Love of the Game.  And enjoy the many benefits of playing soccer, both on and off the field.

We have a great chance to grow the game and encourage more kids to get involved. We aim to deliver 5% growth in our player base this fall. This seasonal year, we achieved over 15,000 players in D-7, striving to reach 15,750+ players next year. We have a great team of Leagues, and all will be affiliated and ready to grow.

Thank you all for your hard work in 22/23. We’re excited to create a brighter future for soccer in District 7 through new partnerships, innovative programs, and a renewed commitment to growing the game.

We hope you’ll join us on this journey.
