First of all, thank you to all of those who attended the CYSA Inc. (Yes! that is our real name) Cal North (our DBA – Doing Business As) AGM on April 24th, 2022.
This was historical, and you are part of the group that authorized change for this Association. I know you will hold us all accountable, but this includes all our membership. We need to change, but more importantly, in this crazy world, we need to get out and play. We need to reach out to players of all skills and get them out enjoying our great game in our great valley.
We start this adventure on May 7th and 8th with the 5 de Mayo event at Fresno Regional Sports Park. This event will bring players from multiple organizations under one umbrella, SOCCER. Let us have a FUN event; hopefully, I will see many of you there.
Talking about the history of D7 and Cal North, we started our program for officials. You will see Game Day Facilitators on many of your matches this Spring and next Fall. The G.D.F.’s are the future for many of our Leagues keeping the costs down. WE will grow our pool of officials at the Grassroots Level…….Will one of these officials make it to the MLS? We shall have to wait and see.
Also, this spring, your League Registrars are training on the new GotSport Registration Program, which will bring better integration to our Leagues and the District.
