California Youth Soccer Association Olympic Development ProgramCYSA District VII Olympic Development Program Identification Process

The Olympic Development Program is a national process for identifying and developing highly talented male and female youth soccer players.

Starting in the 2011/2012 seasonal years, District 7 will be implementing a new process for player identification selection to the State ODP Identification selection. This selection process will send our very best players to the State ODP ID in September and October, ending with the ODP Championship Training in December. This process will rely on the use of a comprehensive player scouting system to identify the top players in District 7. Additional information regarding this scouting system will be announced in the near future.

For the current 2010/2011 season, the following system for identifying players will be implemented. Club Technical Directors, Directors of Coaching, and Team Coaches can recommend players through an on-line recommendation form. This same recommendation form can be picked up and filled out at our District 7 office, which is located at 4285 N First Ave. Fresno 93612.

These recommended players will then be invited to the District 7 ODP ID Camp for further evaluation from District ODP Staff. From this pool players will then be invited to attend the State ODP ID in September and October. There will be no cost to the player to attend the District 7 ODP ID camp.

District 7 ODP ID Camp dates:  TBA

NOTE: District 7 cannot accept player recommendations from personal trainers or parents.
